The Port Aransas Marlins routed the visiting Pettus Eagles softball squad by a count of 18-6 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Marlins (7-8) will now prepare for their battle against Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 2A Region IV District 31 battle with a 16-3 record. In their last battle, Three Rivers topped Yorktown (Yorktown, TX), 10-0, in a league battle.

The Eagles now sport a 0-7 record. They play next when they travel to Three Rivers for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 12. Pettus will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 13-1 league win over Port Aransas (Port Aransas, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-3.
