North Carolina High School Softball - Porter Ridge bounces South Stanly

March 5, 2024: Indian Trail, NC 28079

Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) and the visiting South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), witnessed Porter Ridge's softball squad tip South Stanly by a count of 6-1.

The Pirates now sport a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Ardrey Kell for a non-league match on Friday, March 8. Porter Ridge will meet a Knights squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Knights record now stands at 1-2.

The Rowdy Rebel Bulls (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers enter the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Piedmont tipped Anson (Wadesboro, NC), 19-3, in a league test.
