The Mumford Mustangs basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Fitzgerald Spartans to 37 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now possess a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Renaissance for a non-league game on Friday, March 7. Mumford will confront a Phoenix team coming off a 72-12 non-league win over Hamtramck (Hamtramck, MI). The Phoenix record now stands at 21-3.
