The North Surry Greyhounds overwhelmed the host Mount Airy Granite Bears softball squad by a count of 18-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Greyhounds meet the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 6. North Surry will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Sauras go into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 13-4 non-league win over East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC).
The Granite Bears (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Surry Central was routed by West Stokes (King, NC), 13-3, in a non-league challenge.
