The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Fairfield Eagles (Fairfield, TX) and the host Connally Cadets (Waco, TX), saw Fairfield's baseball team gain a win over Connally by a tally of 9-1.

The Eagles (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Moody (Moody, TX). The Bearcats enter the non-league battle with a 1-6 record. In their last battle, Moody was overwhelmed by Mildred (Corsicana, TX), 7-2, in a non-league contest.

The Cadets now possess a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin for a non-league contest on Thursday, March 5. Connally will confront a Jaguars squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Manor (Manor, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-4.
