Next, the Hurricanes face the Calhoun Yellow Jackets (Calhoun, GA) in a 5A Region 7 challenge, on Friday, March 10. Cartersville will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA).

The Hornets now have a 0-8 record. They take the field next when they host New Manchester for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 9. Hiram will face a Jaguar squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to South Paulding (Douglasville, GA). The Jaguar record now stands at 1-7.
