The Gila Ridge Hawks baseball team (Yuma, AZ), was overwhelmed 17-0 in Monday's league outing with the visiting Pinnacle Pioneers (Phoenix, AZ)
The Pioneers now hold a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Desert Vista for a non-league outing on Friday, March 10. Pinnacle will confront a Thunder team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Liberty (Peoria, AZ). The Thunder record now stands at 2-2.
Next, the Hawks confront the Maricopa Rams (Maricopa, AZ) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, March 8. Gila Ridge will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Rams go into the outing with a 1-0 record after their 14-1 non-league win over Maryvale (Phoenix, AZ).
