Weeki Wachee Hornets (Weeki Wachee, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes (Spring Hill, FL), 20-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hernando for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 7. Weeki Wachee will face a Leopards squad coming off a 14-0 non-league win over Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL). The Leopards record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Bishop McLaughlin Catholic falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Gibbs (St. Petersburg, FL) to face the Gladiators in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 8. The Gladiators enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Gibbs lost 21-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Anclote (Holiday, FL)
