The Kosciusko Whippets routed the visiting Ethel Tigers softball squad by a final score of 8-3 in Monday's non-league battle.

The Whippets (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Leake Central (Carthage, MS). The Gators go into the 4A Region 4 battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Leake Central was routed by Pisgah (Sandhill, MS), 18-6, in a non-league battle.

The Tigers now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to French Camp Academy for a 1A Region 5 battle on Tuesday, March 7. Ethel will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Calhoun City (Calhoun City, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 0-3.
