In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Rio Hondo Prep Kares volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Garey Vikings.
The Kares (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against La Salle (Pasadena, CA). The Lancers come into the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, La Salle lost by Cathedral (Los Angeles, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Vikings clash with the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 7. Garey will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Cougars come into the battle with a 6-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Damien (La Verne, CA).
