In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Howard Lions basketball team scored a decisive 57-35 triumph over the Chesapeake Cougars.
In their next game, the Lions meet the Poly Engineers (Baltimore, MD) in a non-league match, on Saturday, March 9. Howard will attempt to better on its 16-6 season record. The Engineers enter the match with a 24-1 record after their 65-56 non-league win over Edgewood (Edgewood, MD).
With the defeat, Chesapeake moves to 14-10 on the year.
