Pleasant Grove Eagles (Elk Grove, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Vacaville Bulldogs (Vacaville, CA), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Folsom for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 8. Pleasant Grove will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Vacaville falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to American Canyon (American Canyon, CA) to face the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 8. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. American Canyon lost 10-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Vanden (Fairfield, CA)
