The Welsh Greyhounds softball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Port Barre Red Devils to 2 in the Greyhounds non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Welsh improves its record to 3-4 on the year. The Greyhounds host Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA) to clash with the Hornets in a 2A District 5 game on Thursday, March 7. The Hornets come into the game with a record of 4-5. Grand Lake lost 13-7 in their recent non-league game against Jennings (Jennings, LA)

In their next game, the Red Devils clash with the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 8. Port Barre will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record.
