The Covington-Douglas Wildcats baseball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Cherokee Chiefs to 4 in the Wildcats non-league win on Thursday.
The Wildcats now hold a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Medford for a non-league test on Monday, March 10. Covington-Douglas will play a Cardinals team coming off a 10-3 non-league win over Okeene (Okeene, OK). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-0.
With the defeat, Cherokee drops to 0-2 on the year. The Chiefs host Timberlake (Helena, OK) to play the Tigers in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 11. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 2-2. Timberlake lost 14-6 in their recent non-league test against Drummond (Drummond, OK)
