East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting St. Pius X Panthers (Houston, TX), 5-4 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, East Ascension advances its record to 12-6 on the season. The Spartans host Terrebonne (Houma, LA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league match on Friday, March 7. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 2-11. Terrebonne won 17-5 in their recent non-league match against St. Augustine (New Orleans, LA)
The Panthers now have a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kinkaid for a non-league match on Saturday, March 29.
