Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Mt. Zion Bulldogs (Jonesboro, GA) and the visiting Douglass Astros (Atlanta, GA), saw Mt. Zion's soccer squad triumph over Douglass by a count of 9-0.
The Bulldogs (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Stephenson (Stone Mountain, GA). The Jaguars enter the 3A Area 5 battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, Stephenson was overwhelmed by Arabia Mountain (Lithonia, GA), 6-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Astros battle the Stone Mountain Pirates (Stone Mountain, GA) in a 3A Area 5 battle, on Tuesday, March 11. Douglass will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 4-0 league win over Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, GA).
