With the triumph, Basile upgrades its record to 4-1 on the year. The Bearcats host Merryville (Merryville, LA) to play the Panthers in a 1A District 5 game on Tuesday, March 11. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 5-5. Merryville won 9-2 in their recent non-league game against Pickering (Leesville, LA)

The Gent now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Abbeville for a 3A District 5 game on Monday, March 10.
