The Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats softball team scored 3 runs and held the host Blythewood Bengals to 2 in the Swampcats non-league win on Thursday.

The Swampcats now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sumter for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 8. Laurence Manning Academy will confront a Gamecocks team coming off a 7-5 non-league win over South Florence (Florence, SC). The Gamecocks record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Blythewood moves to 4-1 on the season. The Bengals travel to Westwood (Blythewood, SC) to confront the Redhawks in a AAAAA Region 5 battle on Tuesday, March 11. The Redhawks come into the battle with a record of 1-4. Westwood lost 6-2 in their recent non-league battle against Providence Athletic Club (Columbia, SC)
