The Dudley Panthers softball team scored 19 runs and held the host Western Guilford Hornets to 10 in the Panthers non-league win on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Atkins for a Mid-State 3A battle on Friday, March 7. Dudley will confront a Camels team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Camels record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Western Guilford moves to 2-3 on the season. The Hornets travel to Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC) to confront the Cowboys in a Metro 4A battle on Friday, March 7. The Cowboys come into the battle with a record of 2-3. Southwest Guilford lost 15-4 in their recent non-league battle against Walkertown (Walkertown, NC)
