North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA), 20-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, North Vermilion improves its record to 5-4 on the year. The Patriots host St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA) to play the Cougars in a 4A District 4 game on Tuesday, March 11. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 7-3. St. Thomas More lost 9-1 in their recent non-league game against Notre Dame (Crowley, LA)
