Canutillo Eagles (Canutillo, TX) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they saw their baseball team beat the visiting Austin Panthers (El Paso, TX), 13-0 in a non-league game.
The Eagles (7-9) will now prepare for their game against Bel Air (El Paso, TX). The Highlanders enter the non-league game with a 9-2 record. In their last game, Bel Air defeated Austin (El Paso, TX), 15-0, in a non-league match.
The Panthers now possess a 1-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to El Paso for a non-league match on Saturday, March 7. Austin will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 6-6 non-league AZ Compass Prep (Chandler, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 7-5.
