In Friday's non-league game, the host Blanco Panthers baseball team scored a close 5-1 victory over the Luling Eagles.

The Panthers (6-5) will now prepare for their game against Falls City (Falls City, TX). The Beavers come into the non-league match with a 5-7 record. In their last match, Falls City was overwhelmed by Marion (Marion, TX), 12-0, in a non-league match.

The Eagles now possess a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Somerset for a non-league match on Saturday, March 7. Luling will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Jefferson (San Antonio, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-8.
