In Friday's non-league game, the host Cooper Bulldogs baseball team scored a close 6-3 victory over the Quitman Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs (8-1) will now prepare for their game against Bland (Merit, TX). The Tigers enter the 2A Region II District 12 game with a 4-5 record. In their last game, Bland held off Avery (Avery, TX), 10-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Bulldogs face the Ford Panthers (Quinlan, TX) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 7. Quitman will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 8-3 record after their 7-3 non-league win over Alba-Golden (Alba, TX).
