The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Belton-Honea Path Bears (Honea Path, SC) and the visiting Chapman Panthers (Inman, SC), observed Belton-Honea Path's softball team get by Chapman by a tally of 12-5.

The Bears (5-0) will now prepare for their bout against Seneca (Seneca, SC). The Bobcats go into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Seneca nudged Woodmont (Piedmont, SC), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

The Panthers now hold a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Blacksburg for a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 10. Chapman will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Rock Hill (Rock Hill, SC). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-1.
