Drew Central Pirates (Monticello, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Watson Chapel Wildcats (Pine Bluff, AR), 21-10 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Smackover for a 3A-7 challenge on Thursday, March 10.

With the loss, Watson Chapel falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Magnolia (Magnolia, AR) to battle the Panthers in a 4A-8 challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Magnolia won 11-10 in their recent non-league challenge against De Queen (De Queen, AR)
