Northside Grizzlies (Fort Smith, AR) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Van Buren Pointers (Van Buren, AR), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Grizzlies now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mansfield for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8.
With the loss, Van Buren falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Pointers travel to Rogers (Rogers, AR) to face the Mountaineers in a 6A West challenge on Thursday, March 10. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
