In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Marblehead Magicians basketball team scored a tight 59-57 triumph over the Pope Francis Prep Cardinals.
In their next game, the Magicians meet the Mansfield Hornets (Mansfield, MA) in a non-league match, on Friday, March 10. Marblehead will attempt to better on its 16-6 season record. The Hornets enter the match with a 23-2 record after their 64-43 non-league win over Salem (Salem, MA).
With the defeat, Pope Francis Prep moves to 19-4 on the year.
