The North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) basketball knocked off the visiting Newton Cardinals (Newton, IA), 49-31 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Comets (19-6) will now prepare for their test against Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA). The Bluejays go into the non-league test with a 22-0 record. In their last test, Bondurant-Farrar notched a victory over Algona (Algona, IA), 81-52, in a non-league test.
The Cardinals now own a 17-7 record.
