North Carolina High School Baseball - Ashe County gets by East Surry

Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) and the host East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC), saw Ashe County's baseball squad knock off East Surry by a count of 7-5.

Coming up next, the Huskies play the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 12. Ashe County will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record.

The Cardinals now possess a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host North Surry for a Foothills 2A battle on Tuesday, March 12. East Surry will play a Greyhounds squad coming off a 12-4 non-league loss to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 0-2.
