In Thursday's non-league game, the host East Forsyth Eagles baseball team scored a tight 1-0 victory over the West Stanly Colts.
The Eagles (3-1) will now prepare for their game against R.J. Reynolds (Winston-Salem, NC). The Demons go into the Central Piedmont 4A game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, R.J. Reynolds was edged by East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC), 13-2, in a league game.
The Colts (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cougars go into the Rocky River 2A/3A game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Central Academy was edged by Central (Pageland, SC), 9-5, in a non-league game.
