Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Jefferson Democrats (Portland, OR), 53-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Willamette upgrades its record to 21-7 on the season. The Wolverines travel to South Medford (Medford, OR) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, March 8. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 24-3. South Medford won 56-24 in their recent non-league bout against Southridge (Beaverton, OR)

Next up, the Democrats play the Southridge Skyhawks (Beaverton, OR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 8. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 24-3 season record. The Skyhawks go into the bout with a 23-5 record after their 56-24 non-league loss to South Medford (Medford, OR).
