The Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) soccer nipped the visiting Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

With the victory, Laney moves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Buccaneers host Croatan (Newport, NC) to confront the Cougars in a non-league bout on Monday, March 11. The Cougars enter the bout with a record of 0-2. Croatan lost 4-0 in their recent non-league bout against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)
