The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) and the host Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), saw Thomas Jefferson's soccer squad get by Swain County by a margin of 3-2.
The Gryphons now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they host East Gaston for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A test on Tuesday, March 12. Thomas Jefferson will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Swain County drops to 2-2 on the season. The Maroon devils host Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC) to meet the Bobcats in a Smoky Mountain 1A test on Monday, March 11. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 0-1. Blue Ridge Early College lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Tri-County (Murphy, NC)
