The East Surry Cardinals baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Ashe County Huskies to 2 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Thursday.

The Cardinals (1-0) will now prepare for their match against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds go into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, North Surry was overwhelmed by Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC), 7-1, in a non-league match.
