Elgin Owls (Elgin, OK) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Choctaw Yellowjackets (Choctaw, OK), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Owls face the Altus Bulldogs (Altus, OK) in a 5A District 1 challenge, on Friday, March 8. Elgin will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record.

The Yellowjackets now have a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Harrah for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 15.
