Rio Americano Raiders (Sacramento, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Galt Warriors (Galt, CA), 17-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mariposa County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 9. Rio Americano will battle a Grizzlies squad coming off a 15-4 non-league loss to Carter (Rialto, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Galt falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Argonaut (Jackson, CA) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 7. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Argonaut won 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against El Dorado (Placerville, CA)
