The Marvin Ridge Mavericks softball team scored 3 runs and limited the host Providence Panthers to 1 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Marvin Ridge improves its record to 4-0 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC) to clash with the Lancers in a non-league game on Monday, March 11. The Lancers come into the game with a record of 0-2. Legion Collegiate Academy lost 5-1 in their recent non-league game against Lewisville (Richburg, SC)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) in a Southwestern 4A game, on Friday, March 8. Providence will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the outing with a 1-1 record after their 11-3 non-league win over Sun Valley (Monroe, NC).
