North Carolina High School Softball - Tuscola gets by Swain County

The Tuscola Mountaineers got by the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils softball squad by a count of 5-4 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Mountaineers (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Rockets go into the non-league battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, A.C. Reynolds was edged by Owen (Black Mountain, NC), 6-3, in a non-league battle.

The Maroon Devils now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Robbinsville for a Smoky Mountain 1A battle on Tuesday, March 12. Swain County will battle a Black Knights team coming off a 16-11 non-league win over Enka (Enka, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 2-0.
