The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Buckeye Panthers (Buckeye, LA) and the host St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA), saw Buckeye's baseball team gain a win over St. John by a tally of 3-0.
The Panthers (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Marksville (Marksville, LA). The Tigers enter the non-league battle with a 1-13 record. In their last battle, Marksville by Mamou (Mamou, LA), 10-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Eagles face the Oakdale Warriors (Oakdale, LA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 8. St. John will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 9-7 record after their 16-2 non-league loss to Pineville (Pineville, LA).
