In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls baseball team scored a nice 19-5 win over the Farmington Scorpions.
The Cavemen/Cavegirls (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM). The Storm go into the non-league game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Cleveland knocked off Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM), 4-3, in a non-league game.
Next, the Scorpions play the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 8. Farmington will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Eagles go into the game with a 1-3 record after their 16-10 non-league loss to Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM).
