The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Mineola Yellowjackets (Mineola, TX) and the visiting Chisum Mustangs (Paris, TX), saw Mineola's baseball team beat Chisum by a margin of 6-4.

The Yellowjackets (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX). The Buffaloes enter the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Lone Oak held off Harts Bluff (Mt. Pleasant, TX), 13-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Mustangs face the Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, TX) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 8. Chisum will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 1-11 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to Alba-Golden (Alba, TX).
