In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Corinth Holders Pirates baseball team scored a close 8-5 victory over the Topsail Pirates.
The Pirates (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Screaming Eagle enter the non-league game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Ashley held off Swansboro (Swansboro, NC), 10-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Pirates face the Wake County HomeSchool Warriors (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 8. Topsail will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 2-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC).
