Texas High School Baseball - Ponder defeats Kennedale

The Ponder Lions baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Kennedale Wildcats to 3 in the Lions non-league win on Friday.
The Lions now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Whitesboro for a 3A Region II District 10 test on Tuesday, March 11. Ponder will clash with a Bearcats team coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-7.
With the defeat, Kennedale drops to 4-6 on the year. The Wildcats host Venus (Venus, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 4A Region II District 10 test on Tuesday, March 11. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 5-4.
