The Teague Lions baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Leon Cougars to 0 in the Lions non-league win on Friday.
The Lions now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Iola for a non-league test on Saturday, March 8. Teague will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-1.
With the defeat, Leon drops to 2-6 on the year. The Cougars host Cayuga (Cayuga, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league test on Saturday, March 8. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 7-2. Cayuga lost 4-2 in their recent non-league test against Buffalo (Buffalo, TX)
