Texas High School Baseball - Merkel holds off Midland Classical Academy

In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Merkel Badgers baseball team scored a close 6-2 win over the Midland Classical Academy Knights.

The Badgers (7-2) will now prepare for their game against Snyder (Snyder, TX). The Tigers go into the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Snyder was overwhelmed by Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX), 7-6, in a non-league game.

Next, the Knights play the Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 7. Midland Classical Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Steers go into the game with a 2-4 record after their 7-2 non-league loss to Greenwood (Midland, TX).
