The Oxford Prep Griffins (Oxford, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Vance County Vipers (Henderson, NC), 20-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Griffins now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Voyager Academy for a Triangle North 1A challenge on Tuesday, March 11. Oxford Prep will clash with a Vikings team coming off a 14-0 non-league win over Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 4-0.

With the defeat, Vance County drops to 0-3 on the year. The Vipers host Durham School of the Arts (Durham, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Northern Lakes Athletic 2A/3A challenge on Tuesday, March 11. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Durham School of the Arts won 9-6 in their recent non-league challenge against NCSSM: Durham (Durham, NC)
