In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Mission Bay Buccaneers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the La Jolla Vikings.

The Buccaneers (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Granite Hills edged Mission Vista (Oceanside, CA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings play the Patrick Henry Patriots (San Diego, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 8. La Jolla will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA).
