In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Costa Mesa Mustangs volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Santa Ana Saints.

The Mustangs (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Segerstrom (Santa Ana, CA). The Jaguars enter the Golden West challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Segerstrom was tipped by Samueli Academy (Santa Ana, CA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Saints meet the Buena Park Coyotes (Buena Park, CA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, March 11. Santa Ana will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Coyotes enter the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Katella (Anaheim, CA).
