Fans at Friday's league battle between the Jackson County Panthers (Jefferson, GA) and the host Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA), saw Jackson County's soccer squad knock off Clarke Central by a score of 2-0.

The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Paideia (Atlanta, GA). The Pythons enter the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Paideia tipped Mount Paran Christian (Kennesaw, GA), 4-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Gladiators confront the Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) in a 5A Region 8 battle, on Friday, March 14. Clarke Central will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record.
