Oakland Patriots (Murfreesboro, TN) backers exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they saw their lacrosse team gain a win over the visiting Science Hill Hilltoppers (Johnson City, TN), 7-5 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Oakland improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to Cookeville (Cookeville, TN) to play the Cavaliers in a 2A Region 2 D1 game on Wednesday, March 12. The Cavaliers come into the game with a record of 0-2.

The Hilltoppers now have a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boyd-Buchanan for a non-league game on Saturday, March 8. Science Hill will play a Buccaneers team coming off a 18-2 non-league loss to McCallie (Chattanooga, TN). The Buccaneers record now stands at 1-2.
